Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health services in Sandwell and Wolverhampton, specialist health services for people with learning disabilities in Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell and Wolverhampton and community healthcare services in Dudley.

Bob Piper was Chairman of the trust since 2004. It became a Foundation trust in 2009. Half of the members of the Council black and ethnic minorities, only trust in England to achieve this.

The trust was to give £89.000 from nursing technology Fund in March 2014, which will be spent on mobile devices.

The trust, along with Dudley and Walsall mental health partnership NHS trust, established communication and service leaks. The intention is that "when someone in a police station or involved in court process, mental health problems or other risks, they are referred to the right services and get support and guidance based on their needs."

Verification by the Commission of quality of care in 2016, found that the Abbey ward, Charlemont ward and wards brother on the street in Hallam Hospital, West Bromwich were all blind spots. The wards were in a poor condition and painted damaged walls, carpets and furniture and an unpleasant smell throughout the house as a whole. They found a number of areas of good practice. "This includes how young people were involved in making decisions about their treatment and that the trust also hired a nurse who speaks four Asian languages to drive to work with black and ethnic minorities."

It planned to merge with Birmingham community health Foundation NHS trust and Dudley and Walsall mental health partnership NHS trust in October 2017. The new organization will have an annual turnover of approximately £440 million dollars, making it the third largest mental health trust in England. Three merger collapsed, but the merger with the Dudley and Walsall is still scheduled for 2020.
